Agreement to These Terms

By creating an account, using Mahj Mates, joining a game, creating a group, sending messages, or inviting players, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What Mahj Mates Does

Mahj Mates is a coordination app for mahjong players. The app helps users create games, find games, invite players, manage groups, communicate with other users, and keep track of game activity.

Accounts and Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate account information and keep it updated. You are responsible for protecting your password and for activity that happens through your account. Do not use another person's account or share your login with someone else.

Games, Invites, and Attendance

Users may create public or private games, invite players, accept or decline invitations, and join groups. Game hosts are responsible for the accuracy of game details, including date, time, location, privacy settings, and player limits. Players are responsible for deciding whether to attend and for communicating changes when they cannot make a game.

In-Person Safety

Mahj Mates provides tools to coordinate games, but we do not supervise, host, or control in-person meetups. Use good judgment when meeting others, choose safe locations, follow local rules, and make your own decisions about whether a game or group is right for you.

Respectful Conduct

You agree not to harass, threaten, discriminate, impersonate others, spam users, post harmful content, misuse messages or invites, interfere with the app, or use Mahj Mates for unlawful activity.

Messages and User Content

You are responsible for the messages, profile information, photos, group information, game listings, and other content you add to Mahj Mates. You should only upload or send content that you have the right to use and that is appropriate for the app community.

Payments, Fees, and Prizes

Unless Mahj Mates directly offers a paid feature through the app, any payments, table fees, entry fees, prizes, refunds, or side arrangements between players are the responsibility of the users involved. Mahj Mates is not responsible for collecting or resolving off-app payments.

Reports and Account Actions

Users may report unsafe, abusive, misleading, or inappropriate behavior. We may review reports, remove content, cancel problem games, restrict features, suspend accounts, or close accounts when we believe it is needed to protect users, the app, or the community.

No Guarantee of Availability

We work to keep Mahj Mates available and useful, but we cannot guarantee that the app will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in every location or on every device.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as Mahj Mates grows. When we make changes, we will update the date on this page. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
